Dear NHMC 2020 Campers,

We have good news and bad news.

We had hoped not to have to report what seems increasingly predictable, but here it is: Northeast Heritage Music Camp will not run in June 2020. In light of the health implications of the COVID-19 virus, the NHMC Board has decided to cancel camp for the 2020 season. That said, our partners at the Common Ground Center have agreed to apply our deposit toward June 2021 year, and we anticipate running camp with the same slate of faculty next year as we had planned for this year, along with our fabulous caterers and--we hope--you!

With that in mind, we are offering various options for the payment we have already received from you: to return your payment in full, to apply part (or all) of your payment toward next year's tuition, and/or to donate all or part of your tuition toward our faculty fund. We understand that for many of us these times can be financially uncertain. These are also hard times for our faculty. With your help, we hope to pay them 50% of their salary to buffer their loss of income with camp cancellation. (If we receive donations beyond 50% of faculty salaries, we hope to make contributions to the Common Ground Center and to Bon Temps Gourmet.)

Please send a return email by April 30 indicating the option that best suits your needs and donation dollar amount if applicable. 

If you would like us to hold a deposit for the 2021 camp season, here are your refund options: Option 1: Credit $100 deposit and refund balance.
Option 2: Credit $100 deposit, donate amount: $___________, and refund remainder.
Option 3: Credit $100 deposit, and donate balance.
Option 4: Credit entire tuition payment toward NHMC 2021.

If you are unsure of your plans for next summer, here are your refund options:
Option 5: Full refund.
Option 6: Donate $___________ and refund remainder.
Option 7: Donate your full payment.

And now the good news: We are furiously putting our creative energies together with the faculty's to create  NHMC 2020 ALT CAMP! Online faculty-led workshops, virtual happy hour jams, and live-streamed faculty concerts will be featured throughout the week of June 21, along with who knows what else. (Yann is working on a pizza idea.) The schedule is in its early stages, but know that all of the faculty are on board. We will likely charge a minimal registration fee (waived if you have donated part of your tuition), with opportunities to donate further through a virtual tip jar. Stay tuned for more details!
