COMMON GROUND CENTER, STARKSBORO, VERMONT
in the Green Mountains nestled in a valley, surrounded by forest...
Common Ground Center is located in Starksboro, Vermont, 30 minutes from Burlington and Lake Champlain. The 700 acre site is located on an old farm, nestled in the valley between the Hogback and Green Mountains.
Common Ground offers a unique setting that stands out from other venues with its beautiful Vermont landscape, breathtaking scenery, green business practices, and distinctive buildings and cabins.

Common Ground Center has three accommodation options. Cabins and Ecolodge are shared rooms.
Cabins: Cabins are rustic and cozy, with whimsical names and decor. They are in clusters in the woods, a short walk from the main campus. Toilets and bathhouses are nearby. Cabins have no electricity so we can enjoy the starry Vermont nights.
Ecolodge: The Ecolodge offers guest rooms, each with its own bathrooms. These rooms feature unique finishes and electricity. There is an extra charge for staying in the Eco-Lodge. Ecolodge rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note, there are very limited accommodations in Ecolodge for couples - there are more options in the cabins..
Camping: Nine tent platforms are located on the edge of the hillside field, overlooking the main campus and adjacent to the cabins (or you may pitch your tent in the field). The field has a gorgeous view and many campers choose to nestle their tents up against the tree line of the forest that borders the tenting areas. There is ample room, so no need to worry about privacy! RV parking is also available, but there are no hook-ups.
Please note that all accommodations, other than camping, are shared (2-4 campers), and that all beds are singles. There are no private rooms.
All campers must supply their own bedding, pillows and towels.
One last item... volunteer slots. We have worked hard to keep this unique experience as affordable as possible. Toward that end, much of the cleaning, dishwashing, and other such tasks will be up to us. Our wonderful youth and adult work crew will cover some of these chores, but we are also asking that each of you contribute 2 hours of your time during the week. It's a fun opportunity to get to know your fellow musicians better!
